Job Description :  This position is responsible for participating in the implementation of corporate EDI strategy through the identification, documentation and analysis of business requirements.  Additionally, this position initiates and leads projects that support the EDI strategies.
Requirements : Supports and leads EDI related projects and activities. Attends American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Accredited Standard committee (ASC) X12 meetings and other related external sessions, representing the Plan's interests and disseminating information to the appropriate business and technical areas.  Consults with business units and recommends EDI initiatives to enhance business processes and increase the value of service to its customers and trading partners. Assist in the implementation of EDI goals.  Acts as a resource and leads a staff of EDI Business Analysts. Performs trading partner data analysis and data mapping activities with business areas. Monitors the progress of EDI standards development and initiates activities to implement new standards and revisions to existing standards.  Provides training overviews within the Plan concerning EDI topics.  When requested provides training to current and potential trading partners.  Develops and maintains BCBSNJ specific requirements to the X12N transaction set implementation guides, published by the Accredited Standards committee X12N.  Performs testing and test assurance during standards development or maintenance activities through development of test data, review of test output. Performs quality assurance on a post implementation basis to ensure that transactions meet “first pass rate” expectations of internal/external customers.  Performs User Acceptance testing and secure customer signoff. .
